ZAVALLA, Texas (KTRE) - The City of Zavalla has received a $5. 3 million water infrastructure grant awarded by the state after decades of water system issues, officials said Monday.
"It was great news," said Angelina County Judge Keith Wright.
"They definitely need something because the water system has been neglected for years."Wright said the city's water plants, corroded tanks and pumping systems experience frequent outages, water quality problems and boil-water notices, issues residents know all to well.
