Gillespie County Treasurer has resigned after lawsuit to have her removed from office.

County Commissioners accepted Vicki Schmidt's resignation yesterday at commissioners' court.

The lawsuit, filed by Gillespie County residents Esther Schneider and Bruce Neitzke, on August 30th accused Schmidt of official misconduct and incompetence.
