BIG SPRING, Texas - The murder case against Andres Reyes Perches III was reset to January during a brief pretrial hearing Wednesday that included discussion of DNA samples awaiting processing and outstanding test results.

Judge Timothy D. Yeats reset the matter to Jan. 22, 2027, in Howard County's 118th District Court.

No determination of guilt was made during the Oct. 7 hearing.
