All three cities in Brown County posted increases in sales tax revenue in October, according to data released this week by the Texas Comptroller's Office.

The City of Early led the way with a very large increase, while Brownwood and Bangs experienced more modest increases.

October sales tax revenue from the State is the first of the new 2026/2027 fiscal year, and reflects taxable retail sales in August 2026.
