TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - What began as a simple call to foster grew into a family of eight.

Mark and Elaine Hageman opened their home to children in foster care and eventually welcomed five siblings into their family for good.

The couple received the 2026 Home of Hope Award at the second annual Seat at the Table Banquet, hosted by the Fostering Collective at Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler."For a long time, we just feel like God had just put on our heart that we wanted to just love on some kids. We had a heart for kids from hard places," Elaine said.
