Irving police shot and wounded a woman who authorities said was armed with a knife and advancing toward officers during a domestic disturbance call on Friday evening.

What we know: Irving police were called around 5:50 p.m. to the 300 block of Rolston Road, as officers arrived at the scene, they found a woman standing in the street with a knife and making threats.

Officers gave her verbal commands, but she did not comply and continued moving toward them.
