A Bexar County man was sentenced to life in prison for a 2017 murder just weeks after he was sentenced in a separate killing.

Shandrick Buckley, 39, was sentenced Friday for the murder of Jos Gustavo Hernandez.

In a statement, the Bexar County District Attorney's Office said Buckley "violently assaulted" Hernandez on Aug. 9, 2017, outside Haven for Hope.
