AUSTIN, Texas - The man shot by an ICE agent in North Austin has undergone surgery nearly two weeks after the shooting.
The backstory: Attorneys for Wilber Perez said he is recovering in the hospital after surgeons removed a bullet from his back.
Perez was shot by an ICE agent during a high-risk traffic stop in North Austin on Sept. 20.
