WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A former high school teacher in Waco was sentenced to 20 years in prison Friday in the sexual assault of a young child, for inappropriate behavior with a student and for violating his bond conditions.

Octavio Sanchez, 55, a former teacher at Premiere High School, pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a child, three counts of improper relationship between an educator and student and continuous violation of conditions of bond in a plea agreement that called for him to serve 20 years on the first two charges and 10 years on the third charge.

Judge Thomas West of 19th State District Court accepted the plea agreement and sent Sanchez to prison.
