WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A McLennan County judge has sided with the Woodway Board of Adjustment and resident Keven Vranich in a legal dispute with the Woodway City Council over the legality of Vranich's oversized RV carport on Sante Fe Drive.
The lawsuit, filed in January, put the city council at odds with the board of volunteer members it appointed and locked the city into the rare position of paying legal fees and court costs as a plaintiff as well as funding the defense for the Board of Adjustment.
In a ruling issued Wednesday, McLennan County Court-at-Law Judge Pat Atkins ruled against the city, saying the Board of Adjustments did not abuse its discretion in its vote that the structure is in compliance with city requirements.
