(KGNS) - The Laredo City Council meets Monday at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall to discuss key issues affecting the community.
One item up for discussion is whether voters should decide the future of the city's Flock Safety cameras through a non-binding referendum, following Gov. Greg Abbott's decision to pause state funding for the technology.
Council members are also considering whether to buy the recently closed Matias De Llano Elementary School from United ISD, launching a study into purchase and renovation costs to see if the building could be converted into a community center, library, or recreation space with help from Webb County partners.
