HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- If your weekend plans take you into or through downtown Houston, your drive along the Southwest Freeway could be a slow one.

According to TxDOT, two northbound alternate lanes from Main Street to Almeda Road are closed continuously, as well as the northbound connector ramp from I-69 to Spur 527 into Midtown.

The closure is from Friday, Nov. 6 at 9 p.m. to Monday, Nov. 9 at 5 a.m., officials said.
