The Tivy boys' golf team took second place in the Hill Country Match Play Championship held at Kerrville's Riverhill course Monday, Oct. 19, engaging in a rather unique format.

"We didn't have traditional scores because it is match play, sort of like a Ryder Cup system," coach Wes Hale said.

Match play is where players or teams compete, winning by hole rather than total stroke count.
