(KGNS) - Laredo voters will return to the ballot box next month for a runoff between incumbent Mayor Dr. Victor Trevino and District 8 Councilmember Alyssa Cigarroa.

The two candidates emerged as the top vote-getters from a field of five contenders in the midterm election and are now preparing for a final vote to decide the city's highest office.

Both candidates shared their visions and priorities for the community ahead of the upcoming election.
