The Boerne Champion cross country teams were in Round Rock last weekend and got a sneak peak of the course where this year's state meet will be held in Old Settler's Park in November.

Champion was at the HOKA McNeil XC Invite and both varsity teams ran in the open division, or Gold race, and placed in the top five after the boys were fourth and the girls were fifth.

While the Champion boys were fifth overall, they were first among the 5A teams entered in that category, while the Lady Chargers were second among the 5A schools.
