Grocery, produce companies team up to provide supplies to East Texas students

TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Poppies Mandarins and Brookshire's Grocery are partnering with the East Texas Food Bank to provide school supplies to East Texas students.

Along with a $10,000 donation to the East Texas Food Bank, Poppies Mandarin, working through Feeding America, Brookshire's Grocery and the East Texas Food Bank are encouraging families to support local partners of the East Texas Food Bank."You know, we value connection, we value relationships," Julie Dumire, Marketing Director at Kings River Packing, said.

"That's something that agriculture and food really does naturally. It brings people together across lunch tables or across dinner tables out in the community."
