Kerrville City Council members unanimously approved conditional use permits for a controversial truck stop and moved to drop plans to acquire Tivy Mountain during its Tuesday, Oct. 13, meeting.
The Tivy Mountain property, which used to belong to the Tivy family and contains the graves of four family members, has been unowned for more than 10 years.
While the city passed a resolution to eventually purchase the property, the recent floods have delayed the plans.
