Since the previous meeting of the New Braunfels City Council on July 13, in which council and city staff discussed architectural issues occurring at the police department headquarters, the city has been working to make necessary repairs and initiate investigations.

At Monday's meeting, city staff gave an update presentation, at the request of District 1 Councilmember Toni Carter, to inform city council and residents of the building's progress and expenditures related to repairs made after the expired warranty period, Deputy City Manager Jordan Matney said.

City council and staff discussed issues from exterior concrete cracks to sewer line breaks, to pooling water in the parking lot and storage rooms at the July 13 meeting, The Herald-Zeitung previously reported.
