Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton visited New Braunfels the morning of Oct. 24 as part of his "Come and Take It" bus tour, drawing hundreds to Cooper's Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que.

Paxton is facing Democratic nominee James Talarico, an Austin state representative, in the race for the U.S. Senate seat held by U.S. Senator John Cornyn.

As reported by The Herald-Zeitung, Talarico previously hosted a Jan. 8 town hall at the Hidden Gem of Gruene to take constituent questions.
