American Legion Post 196 held its final restaurant fundraiser of the year today at Potter's Pizza, where a portion of the proceeds will be donated back to the organization.

The money raised will go toward supporting local veterans with disabilities and their families, along with providing scholarships for students in local area schools.

"The American Legion does great things for veterans across the nation," said Sean Lewis, who is with the Center For Life Resources, Military Veteran Peer Network and VFW Veteran Services Coordinator.
