BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - A Brazos County Juvenile Detention Center employee faces felony charges after investigators said he smuggled a THC edible into the facility and gave it to a juvenile detainee.

According to a probable cause statement filed by the Brazos County Sheriff's Office, 32-year-old John Manuel Vela is accused of delivering the contraband to a detainee on July 13, 2026.
