KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) - Roughly 270 people attended Republican U.S. Senate candidate Ken Paxton's campaign stop at Southern Roots Brewing Company in downtown Killeen Saturday, according to people working the event.

While most people attending were there to support the campaign, some came to hear what Paxton had to say, and a few protesters gathered outside.

Paxton touted his time as attorney general and cited comments from President Trump, saying he was the most effective attorney general in the U.S. Paxton asked voters to consider that record when voting for him."He said it again today. It's pretty nice when the President says that about you. So, I'm not asking you to imagine what I'd do as a senator. I'm asking you to look at my record and compare that to James Talarico," Paxton said.
