Amid budget constraints and other issues, Guadalupe County Commissioners Court on Tuesday hit the brakes on a plan to update the county's animal services facility.
During the meeting, the court also halted possible plans to partner with the Humane Society of the New Braunfels Area in delivering animal services locally.
The county simply doesn't have the funds to move forward with certain plans and can maintain its current way of handling animal services, Sheriff Joshua Ray said.
