TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Diboll ISD is moving forward with a $12 million bond package to majorly renovate Diboll Junior High School, marking the first major renovation in the campus's history.

The bond, which was approved by voters, will fund widespread upgrades for the school's roughly 400 students.

Superintendent Igor Gusyakov said previous bonds, such as one passed in 2010 or 2011 for H.G. Temple Elementary School, built new facilities but left the junior high with only minor piecemeal additions over the decades."Construction and renovations are an expensive item on any budget," he explained, noting that state funding limits make local bonds essential for major projects.
