WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A Waco man is seeking probation after pleading guilty Friday to stealing 91,000 pounds of copper from his former employer over a five-year period and selling it to a local scrap yard for more than $280,000.
Adrian Palacios Jr., 44, pleaded guilty to theft of copper, a second-degree felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
The McLennan County District Attorney's Office recommended Palacios be placed on felony probation for 10 years and be required to make $280,127 in restitution to Van Tran Transformers, 7711 imperial Drive.
