IOWA COLONY, Texas (KTRK) -- A woman said her domestic violence case sat unprocessed for nearly a year after a technical glitch prevented it from reaching the Brazoria County District Attorney's Office.

Brittanni Hendricks said she first filed domestic violence reports with the Iowa Colony Police Department in July 2025. "There was an investigation that went on from July until around November, so then I've learned that those charges did not get submitted and they've been hung up due to a technical issue," Hendricks said.

Iowa Colony police confirm they investigated the case and believed they had submitted it to the Brazoria County District Attorney's Office in November 2025.
