Laredo raises parking fines; downtown business committee says it was left out of the process
Laredo city council raised downtown parking fines effective June 1, doubling expired meter fines to $20 and no-parking zone fines to $35, but the Downtown Business Improvement District claims it was excluded from the decision-making process.

(KGNS) - Drivers parking in downtown Laredo now face higher fines after the city council amended its parking ordinance on June 1.
An expired meter now carries a $20 fine, up from $10. Parking in a no-parking zone will cost $35, increased from $20. Business Improvement District respondsThe Laredo Downtown Business Improvement District, known as the BID, is reviving its parking subcommittee after learning of the changes.
