Public hearings set for transmission line Public input is sought on the proposed construction of a new 345-kilovolt transmission line from Oncor Electric that could run through the south side of Taylor, city officials said.

The controversial project has faced pushback both from residents and City Hall after an earlier initiative led to complaints when large structures were erected near homes.

"We have been fighting to not let this happen again," city officials said in a release.
