HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) - Lamar Elementary was evacuated after a fire alarm was activated Friday morning, according to a spokesperson for the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District.

The Harlingen Fire Department responded promptly and cleared the school for safe re-entry.

Regular school operations have returned to normal.
