Rechargeable hand warmers sold nationwide at stores and online are being recalled because of a risk that they can overheat, catch fire and cause burns, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Big picture view: The Kobayashi's HotHands-branded rechargeable hand warmers were sold at stores that included Target, the Home Depot, Meijer and Bass Pro Shops, among others, as well as online at Amazon.com, from July 2025 through August 2026, the CPSC's website states.

No injuries have been reported from the use of the units.
