FRIENDSWOOD, Texas (KTRK) -- Westwood Elementary has a new anticipated start date after the school year was delayed when mold was spotted on campus, Friendswood Independent School District said.

School officials said they expect to welcome students back to campus on Monday, August 24, but the date could change depending on whether professionals determine that the school is safe for students and staff.
