Both the Zephyr Lady Bulldogs and Zephyr Bulldogs will compete for a UIL Class A cross country state championship after qualifying with their performances at the Region IV-A meet here Tuesday.

The Lady Bulldogs were the runners-up at the regional meet with 53 points, trailing only Tilden McMullen County (41).

Competing for the Lady Bulldogs were Stella Marwitz (5th, 13:15. 67), Kaydence Walls (6th, 13:17. 48), Brylee Chandler (9th, 13:34. 42), Kathryn Williams (19th, 14:42. 75), Nataly Lopez (22nd, 14:50. 08), Riley Smith (27th, 15:02. 36), and Addyson Hood (55th, 16:09. 11) The Bulldogs came in third at regionals with 136 points, trailing only Tilden McMullen County (32) and Comstock (83).
