LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The Sun Bus, a mobile dermatology clinic that travels across the country to look for skin cancer, is returning to Lubbock.
Dermatologists from Lilly and Epiphany Clinics are partnering with Lubbock Christian University for the event.
The Sun Bus, a mobile dermatology clinic that travels across the country to look for skin cancer, is returning to Lubbock.(Provided by LCU)Students to assist with screeningsPre-health studies students at LCU are volunteering their Saturday after giving up a Friday to learn how to help the doctors and make the check-in process faster."It's a free opportunity to get a skin care screening from experts in the field that do this on a regular basis, so no cost to you," said Toby Rogers, Ph.D., dean of the LCU College of Science and Health Professions."So it's a great opportunity for our pre-health students to get exposure to medical care, skin cancer specifically, to learn how to interact with patients and learn about the screening process," Rogers said.
