CAIRO SPRINGS, Texas (KTRE) - Jasper County Judge Mark Allen released a statement thanking community members and emergency responders for relief efforts after an unknown weather event damaged a church.

On Saturday afternoon Allen described what he believed to be a tornado or land spout that damaged the Genesis Baptist Church in the Cairo Springs community north of Buna.
