LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The Lubbock ISD Board of Trustees approved names for three upcoming elementary schools and accepted one board member's resignation during Tuesday's meeting.

Back in July, the district held a special town hall meeting inviting the public to share suggestions and learn about the district's naming process.

After reviewing more than 300 community submissions, the school board made its final decisions.
