(KGNS) - Texas A&M International University is holding a week of activities to inaugurate Christopher Maynard as the university's seventh president, according to Javier Zambrano, vice president for institutional advancement at TAMIU.

Maynard's investiture ceremony is scheduled for Sept. 14-18 at the Center for the Fine and Performing Arts Recital Hall.

Zambrano said the week begins Monday, Sept. 14, at noon with a kickoff event for students and for the community.
