HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Heading into the weekend, TxDOT reported multiple road closures around the Houston area that could slow traffic, including a full closure of the Southwest Freeway's northbound lanes in Fort Bend County.

TxDOT reported that the northbound lanes of US-59 are expected to be shut down between Williams Trace Boulevard and Kirkwood Drive in Fort Bend County.

Officials said the closure will last from 9 p.m. on Friday until 5 a.m. on Monday.
