GRAYSON COUNTY, Texas (KXII) - Residents and county leaders gathered on the Grayson County Courthouse lawn to mark 25 years since the September 11 attacks, observing a moment of silence.

Shelley Luther, Texas State Representative for District 62, said she was teaching Spanish in her classroom when a librarian told her and other staff that an airplane had hit a building."When we saw the second airplane hit, we knew it wasn't an accident," Luther said.

Billy McDonald, a resident, said he was still in bed with his alarm clock set to a radio station."I was still in bed and my alarm clock was set to go off to the radio station, the ticket. And when it went off, they had mentioned on their morning show that a plane had hit the World Trade Center," McDonald said.
