Uvalde City Council unanimously approved an agreement with L&L Links LLC to operate and manage Uvalde Memorial Golf Course Oct. 13, ending a contentious stretch of discussion over the course's interim management.

Brandon Laffere and Kincaid Light of Uvalde submitted the bid as the LLC. The vote marked a shift from tension surrounding the golf course the previous week, when a special meeting intended to update the public on course conditions instead focused on who authorized a temporary closure.

The city announced the closure in an Oct. 2 Facebook post without immediately giving a reason.
