KILGORe, Texas (KLTV) - Two people are displaced after a Wednesday fire destroyed a Kilgore home and spread to the surrounding woods.

According to the Kilgore Fire Department, fire and rescue crews were dispatched to a home in the 1900 block of County Road 157 around 12:24 p.m. KFD said when crews arrived they found a wood-frame home and storage building fully-engulfed in fire.

The fire was also spreading rapidly to the surrounding wooded area and threatening several nearby homes and other property.
