Following a recommendation from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), and the approval of the City of Fredericksburg City Council, the speed limit has been changed along North Milam Street from West Main Street to West Mulberry Street.

The speed limit has decreased from 40 MPH to 35 MPH.

The change stems from a traffic speed study done by TxDOT in July 2025.
