COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - The Texas A&M Residence Life team rolled out the welcome mat for thousands of students and families for the first day of move-in week.

On Tuesday, around 4,000 students moved into their dorms ahead of the fall semester.

Families spent the day hauling boxes and rolling in carts to get students settled into their homes for the next year.
