Almost four years ago, New Braunfels resident Jillian Bliss created an Instagram page for her beagle, Henry, after she said she inundated her own personal feed with photos of the dog.

Henry, who is known on Instagram as the Braunfels Beagle, has since become somewhat of a local microcelebrity with over 5,000 Instagram followers.

"It was a 'just for fun' thing," Bliss said.
