A construction project is set to bridge a gap in Williamson County by building a new three-mile service road along the 183a toll road.

Starting at Avery Ranch Blvd and extending to SH 29 in Liberty Hill, the free alternative aims to accommodate increasing regional development.

Work on the road and an accompanying shared-use path began last July and is scheduled to conclude in 2029.
