TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - From lesson plans and morning greetings to Hollywood lights and a giant spinning wheel, a local educator is getting ready to represent East Texas on national television.

Emily Foote, principal of Southside Elementary School in Palestine ISD, will soon appear as a contestant on Wheel of Fortune.

For Foote, the opportunity fulfills a lifelong passion that started in her childhood living room."When I lived at home with my mom and dad, we would eat supper and then we would watch Wheel of Fortune every night," Foote said.
