HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The Jones Hall for the Performing Arts announced that the iconic Houston venue celebrated its 60th anniversary on Monday with a rededication ceremony marking the completion of its recent renovation.

In a release, the Houston First Corporation and the Foundation for Jones Hall, alongside the Houston Symphony and Performing Arts Houston, commemorated the anniversary event on Monday morning.

The venue said the event recognized "the public and private partners who have helped make the multi-million-dollar investment in the publicly owned venue possible." According to organizers, the renovation focused on enhancing the interior of Jones Hall, including new seats in the venue and facilities for guests.
