Decades-old Iraq combat footage, shared on social media, reconnects soldiers and Iraqi civilians

COPPERAS COVE , Texas (KWTX) - An Iraq war veteran is reconnecting with old friends and people in Iraq by posting videos he shot during his 2004 deployment on TikTok.

Corby Vinson was a young soldier deployed to Iraq in 2004 when his wife sent him a camera.

He and his fellow soldiers used it to film day-to-day life on patrol."I wanted to make some films and send it back to here and things like that and I started realizing this is pretty important. So, I started more, and more, and more," Vinson said.
