Credit: Michael Karlis Tejano singer-turned-congressional candidate Bobby Pulido got big news this week after the Cook Political Report shifted its forecast in the race for Texas' 15th Congressional District one more notch in his direction.

The nonpartisan newsletter that analyzes federal elections, and political trends changed its forecast in the race from "leans Republican" to "tossup" after new polling found Pulido and Republican incumbent U.S. Rep. Monica De La Cruz in a virtual tie.
