A 1st Cavalry Division Apache helicopter crashed at Fort Hood in Bell County, Texas, triggering a grass fire and road closures on FM-2843.

BELL COUNTY, Texas (FOX 44) - Authorities are responding to a Fort Hood military chopper crash in Bell County.

FOX 44 News has learned that this was a 1st Cavalry Division Apache helicopter.

The crash has caused a rapid grass fire, leading to closures on FM-2843.
