Another strong month for sales tax revenue in Lubbock

Lubbock's sales tax revenue increased nearly 17 percent year-over-year, with the city receiving $11,096,151.20 from taxes on June sales and quarterly filers' April-June sales.

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Sales tax revenue the city of Lubbock is receiving this month is up nearly 17 percent compared to the payment received a year ago.

This money comes from taxes paid on sales made in June at businesses that report taxes monthly, and sales made in April, May and June by quarterly filers.

Texas Comptroller Don Huffines's office will send Lubbock $11,096,151. 20.
